As iconic clubbing brands go, few names ring out as much as Secretsundaze, which has well over a decade been tirelessly bringing the finest underground, cutting edge dance line ups to the UK. Saturday 22nd March sees Secretsundaze head to Sheffield's Hope Works with one of Detroit's most celebrated artists in tow - Patrice Scott.
As one of Motor City's top deep house and techno forces, Scott (watch him above getting busy in the Boiler Room) has made a name for himself due to the continual presence of substance, quality and diversity that his output enjoys. Having been schooled by Detroit dons such as as Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Charles Johnson, it wasn't long before Patrice was one of the most in demand DJs in the city, with his turn to production proving even more fruitful.
Now with his own defining Sistrum imprint in full flow, artists such as Levon Vincent, Efdemin, Lawrence and Fred P have been regular champions of the label, as it's uncompromising and original house and techno continues to be benchmark for those that want depth and excitement in their dance music. Check out Patrice's gorgeous 'Orbital Bliss' below for a taste of his deep-as-you-like Detroit vibe.
He will be joined by Secretsundaze mastermind Giles Smith, a man whose in depth understanding of house music and how to work a crowd has been part of what has made Secrectsundaze the resounding success it is. Co founder James Priestley gets in on the action too for what will be one of his trademark, freewheeling, anything goes sets crammed with house and techno gold. Hope Works resident and newest member of the Secret Agency Lo Shea rounds off a spectacular jaunt to Yorkshire for SecretSundaze.
