Shaped Presents: Justin Martin, Kry Wolf, Doorly

Newly founded Manchester-based night Shaped are welcoming Dirtybird crew member Justin Martin to headline The Ritz on Friday 22nd August. 

In a scene bursting at the seams with new nights, it's vital for emerging events to set themselves apart from the rest, and Shaped have done exactly that by showcasing a huge line up for their launch. Shaped was born with a focus around house, techno and above all, good times.

Topping the bill for the first Shaped event is Justin Martin. Justin is the co-founder, alongside Claude VonStroke, of one of the biggest bass house labels on the planet, Dirtybird. His most recognisable release, Don't Go from 2012 showcased his ability to tap into a wider audience and still receives plays by DJs from far and wide.

Also playing Shaped's launch event are Kry Wolf. The two Portsmouth lads are also a dab hand at running a successful label, they created Food Music alongside Shadow Child. Their quality, bass-heavy approach is apparent not only in their own original tracks, but also in their remixes (check out their remix of My Nu Leng's Hips n' thighs above).
