Each year Liverpool's GIT Award heightens massively in reputation due to its championing of emerging acts from across Merseyside.
Selected by a board of figureheads from across the industry, this year's short list has been whittled down to a dozen of artists who've manoeuvred the musical landscape magnificently throughout this past year and beyond (catch a clip from last year's ceremony below).
Artists with their names in lights include Deltasonic rockers The Vryll Society, indie slackers Hooton Tennis Club, singer/songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones, indie pop foursome Clean Cut Kid and psych-innovators Stealing Sheep.
Doo-wop triumvirate Trudy also make the grade, alongside the soul inspired MiC Lowry, interstellar explorers Mugstar, electronic machinehead TVAM, mutant-rock outfit RongoRongo, death metal bearers Dragged Into Sunlight and electro pop beat-smith L U M E N.
The winner will be crowned at Constellations pinpointed in the city's bustling Baltic Triangle on Saturday 14th May.
