Since setting up shop in 2009, Shotta and its online championing of cutting drum n bass, jungle and house has become one of the most respected underground presences on the internet. Drawing in a far reaching audience in its weekly shows and starring up and coming DJing and MCing talent alongside big names like Nicky Blackmarket, Jumping Jack Frost, Garry K, Flying Squad and Trigga, Shotta has become the go-to source for quality underground bass music, delivered by talented young producers and jocks that you might not have known about previously.
To celebrate New Year's Eve, Shotta TV have decided to throw an almighty 12 hour party with some of their favourite DJs and MCs heading a seriously impressive line up.
Bryan Gee presents Liquid V Live Mix
At the top of the order is London based drum n bass originator Bryan Gee. After beginning his DJing career at the tender age of 13, Bryan Gee soon set up his Pirate Radio station which in to time at all had the attention of the underground jungle elite. His tastemaking, trailblazing 'V' imprint, which kicked off with Roni Size and DJ Krust marked arguably the beginning of drum n bass, and is now one of the longest running labels in dance music. Bryan Gee despite his years in the business is still one of the most potent drum n bass DJs out there - his set at Shotta TV's NYE extravaganza will be mighty.
Basslayerz Shotta TV Takeover
Nottingham based triumvirate Basslayerz make a welcome return to the Shotta TV ranks. Their previous set was simply immense as the unbridled energy and talent of Blu Bomma, DJ Slipz and MC Spyda really shone through for one of Shotta's most unforgettable nights yet. Who knows how good their NYE arrival will be.
Other highlights on the night comes in the shape of burgeoning hip hop talent English Frank, Sons of Jacob's Ranger T, plus a wealth of Preston's finest drum n bass, reggae, dancehall and jungle minds.
This is going to be a night of pure fiyah!
