Alex Warren, better known as DJ/producer Kiwi, has been heavily involved with the dance music scene through numerous avenues as far back as 2007, when he promoted the clubnight Durrr which was founded by Erol Alkan's Trash team.

Alex then started his own club nights in London, and following consistent sellouts, his talent and keen ear for decent electronic music landed him a job booking and promotions manager for The Nest in 2013 when the Dalston club first opened.

After spending years behind the scenes developing the capital city's nightlife, he then decided to take his hand to the decks, a progression which came naturally to the music-mad lad and the following year he began to breakthrough in one of the most competitive scenes.

Now with releases on Duke Dumont's Blase Boys Club label and Defected Records under his belt, along with remixes for Wankelmut and Duke Dumont himself, Kiwi's production reputation matches his standing as a DJ and promoter.

Ahead of his gig for Micron and mute! for Absolutely Terrace on Saturday 23rd July (get fee free tickets with our iPhone app here), we were delivered a chunk of Kiwi's all night long set which was recorded at Moles in Bath to get us excited for the Manchester showcase.

Filled with low slung grooves and retro movers, mixes don't get much smoother than this. It features tracks from the likes of William Onyeabor and Motor City Drum Ensemble - it's every bit as mature as it is playful.

Tickets for the Absolutely Terrace 12 hour party at Mantra Warehouse Manchester are available from the box below.
