It's not the first place you'd think of as a hotspot for grime, but GO! has been putting the genre on the map in Liverpool. Although boasting a fiercely proud scene for similar strands of electronic grooves garage, bass music and dub via clubnights like Abandon Silence, Eat Your Greens and of course Chibuku Shake Shake, GO! set about to readdress the balance for the nastier end of the bass canon, both in instrumental and MC driven form.

The next event has Rinse FM's 'Godfather of Grime' at the helm, the epochal DJ Slimzee, with the new school of the genre represented by Northern Ireland production prodigy Bloom. To give you a taste of the aural collages to expect when GO! hits the Shipping Forecast on Friday 18th October, we got promoter and resident Rich Furness to deliver a mix piecing together the disparate musical influences on offer. You can stream the fruits of his labour above.
