Skiddle Mix 125 - Melé (Edible/DFTD)

Ahead of the inaugural Baltic Weekender in Liverpool, which will see the likes of Goldie, Hunee and Crazy P take over a cluster of venues within the city's beloved Baltic Triangle area, we've got a mix from local lad and line-up highlight Melé.

Merseyside-raised Krissy Peers has developed his own high-octane sound characterised by tribal and percussive elements, something which is now synonymous with his DJ sets and productions. Big on bass and always armed with classic party tunes, he's a must see at any festival or club show.

Recorded live at Klein in Istanbul, his mix for us is filled with his signature energetic style, a hearty amount of club-ready bangers ranging from his own killer productions right through to defining records like Mousse T.'s 'Horny '98' and George Morel's 'Let's Groove'. 

Counting recent releases on major labels like Eats Everything's Edible imprint and Defected's sister label DFTD, his records have been supported heavily by key players like Tiga, Patrick Topping, Jackmaster and Annie Mac.
