It is officially carnival weekend, where Notting Hill comes alive and more than a million people will be expected to head to the streets to party. We have warm-up events and parties right in the middle of the action for you to enjoy. It's a busy old weekend in the capital, so here are our picks for the best events in London this weekend.
Channel One Sound System - Carnival Warm Up

The infamous Channel One Sound System are in town to give you the perfect warm-up for carnival on Friday night. The reggae/dub legends are certified party-starters, able to quickly win over any crowd and they will help loosen up the inhibitions during this set.

Sunday West Sound System at Notting Hill Carnival

In the heart of carnival, this event will be taking place. Hosted by MC Onyx Stone, he'll be introducing a series of jungle and garage artists throughout this event. This is Sunday West's fifteenth birthday, so it is guaranteed to be a lively one.
OpenAir Day + Night at Studio 338

Where: Studio 338, Greenwich
Here's an event that will capture that bank holiday madness. Studio 338 are hosting the OpenAir Day + Night event on Sunday, which sees three stages of talent take place throughout the day, You can expect to see summer scorchers from the likes of Belters Only, Alex Mills, Seb Zito and Sammy Porter.

More Caribbean energy will be taking over at OVO Arena Wembley this weekend. Tipsy Dreamland have a huge headliner lined up in Machel Montano, who will be playing London for the first time in eight years. Embracing the carnival spirit, expect a set packed with euphoric sounds throughout.

Amapiano will have one of its biggest celebrations in London this weekend. Taking over Southwark Park, it is the very first outdoor event from Piano People. They have booked an amazing lineup of amapiano stars including headliners Scorpion Kings as well as Young Stunna and Vigro Deep.

Dusky are currently celebrating ten years of their record label 17 Steps and are heading to Phonox to continue the celebrations. This is an intimate, all night session which will see the house duo explore their very foundations.
