We're arriving at August already, wondering just where the summer has gone. But, the forecast is looking good for the weekend and the first dance you have post-pay day will surely be a good one. We've hand-picked the best events happening in London this weekend, with residency shows, big names and huge all day parties that you can enjoy.

 

Zed Bias: The Residency (Week 1)

When: Friday 2nd August

Where: XOYO, London

Starting this week is Zed Bias' residency at XOYO. The basement club venue invites guests to fill up its Friday night slot every month and this time, it is Bias' turn to curate four weeks of talent. For the first event, Omar, Terri Walker and more will be performing, as funky house, UKG and drum and bass take centre stage. 

 

 


 

Strawberry Sundae Summer Ball

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: Cloud 9 (Paradise Club), London

Strawberry Sundae's Summertime Ball will take you on a whole day's worth of house music and old skool sounds. A huge lineup, it sees Slipmatt headlining the event with some classic Ibiza sounds. Across two rooms, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to talented DJs. 

 

 


 

Select x Radio Warriors - Summer Day Party

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: 93 Feet East, London

10 hours of sun-soaked raving sounds ideal given the forecast for this week. Bright skies will be met by vibrant bass and house at this day party brought to you by Select and Radio Warriors. Going all the way through to midnight, make sure you don't miss names such as Dale Howard, J Dragon, Amy Lauren and Thailah T

 

 


 

Major League DJz & Special Guests

 

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: Crystal Palace Bowl, London

South Facing Festival has taken over Crystal Palace Bowl, giving you an incredibly unique space in which to experience live music. Watching from the banks of the park, you'll be able to see Major League djz do their thing on Saturday with an amazing list of supports. Electronic music fans cannot miss this.

 

 


  

Move D & Bibi Seck

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: Phonox, London

Hugely respected selector Move D will be in London this weekend. Known for his tracks which transcend disco, house, minimal and techno, he will surely be throwing on one of the most unique sets you'll see all year. Joining him on the night will be Bibi Seck, who has an eclectic style which left a deep impression the last time he played at Phonox. 

 

 


 

Eksman's Birthday Bash

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: Electric Brixton, London

There will be no small celebrations for Eksman's birthday, only the biggest bash possible. The birthday boy is taking over Electric Brixton and a huge selection of his friends will be joining him. From drum and bass to high-energy junglists, enjoy performances from the likes of Logan D, Spyda, Sub Zero and more. 

 

 


 

Familee -August '24 Leos

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: The Lower Third, London

Familee is brought to you by Chuckie Online, who puts on this night on the first Saturday of each month. Celebrating Leo season, this party will get you going after pay day. The music policy is everything from RnB to hip hop, dancehall and afro pop, which sounds like a great way to party.

 

 


 

sk8 Of Minds at Paradise Arches

When: Thursday 1st August

Where: Paradise Arches, London

Here's an event that is a bit of a change of pace. If you fancy learning a new skill this week then sk8 Of Minds are putting on skating workshops in Shoreditch. Open to all abilities, there will be a roller disco later in the day, where you can strut your stuff to your heart's content.
