It just doesn't seem right that we should be thinking about winter warmers just yet, and our office stereo output is in no mood to go into egg nog soddened submission either. From fast emerging indie outfits to our date with Anja Schneider, we'v recounted a handful of tunes that's been dominating our stereo this week.

Sjowgren 'Seventeen'

According to internet sources Sjowgren are a trio, a he and also a she; if Sjowgren was a single person I'd be firmly gobsmacked at his/or hers ability to piece together this song's opening piano keys with a propulsive husky bass line, hand clapped rhythms, gritty guitar chords and a lusty vocal that "Ohhh Ohh Ohh's" so good this track could make Monday mornings feel like a justifiable thing. Disclaimer: Sjowgren are a trio!

Anja Schneider 'Dubmission'

The Mobilee boss has carved a reputation within the underground scene through her impeccable DJ sets and commitment to showcasing talent through her imprint. This chugging synth groover is one of our favourites, and confirms why she wears the crown when it comes to one of the most exciting labels around. She's also really nice (read our interview with her).

Sundara Karma 'Loveblood'

New single 'Vivienne' is the heir to the 'Loveblood' throne and Sundara Karma have backed up their opening gambit that got us hooked with another big vocal performance from the band's Oscar Lulu.

Cut with rumbling bass, thudding percussion and interchanging guitar rhythms between Oscar and Ally, the song places them increasingly in the ascendency to assert themselves in the top bracket of anthemic indie-pop.

BS

Tom Vek 'Aroused'

The British song writer and multi-instrumentalist delivered this pop infused indie piece back in 2011, but it's been on repeat recently and it sounds just as good as when it first did the rounds. Vek's vocals are the perfect component for this upbeat gem, the video's not bad to look at either.
