Our office stereo, as ever, has been a hotbed of brand spanking new records and well worn classics of all persuasions.
We've fallen back in love with King Britt's many remixes, tested out the latest sounds in EBM and techno, been on the hunt for the next great indie band, pulled out discerning crowd pleasers and dined on the feast of bangers included in Jackmaster's first Tweak-a-Holic mix. So plug yourself into this banquet of audible delights as you prep for your weekend's shenanigans.
There's two reasons this evergreen house monster has been at the forefront of our thinking this week. Firstly it's one of the selections in our pick of the producer's remixes, as we've reacquainted ourselves with Britt's genius ahead of a return to London in October.
The second is due to the place it always reminds us of; Ibiza. It's a record we pretty much hear every time we head to the White Isle, and as we're off their for a whistle-stop rave trip next Monday this has been one of the records we've been rinsing to get us in the Balearic frame of mind.

The latest EP from Citirax is loaded with killer tracks from The Hacker's Amato project, An-I and Broken English Club, but our outright favourite comes from L.I.E.S. regular Tzusing. The Chinese producer has earned a mega reputation already (he's only been producing since 2014) for his dark, ominous techno and EBM workouts, and this track is no different.
With a disorienting acid line, a brutal kick drum and rolling 80s style percussion, it's another dancefloor wrecker designed for those that love their dance music delivered with real venom.

Little is known about Oxford four-piece Island, other than they possess the potential to emulate the path of a certain math-rock inclined band called Foals from the same southern metropolis.
Maybe that's too bold of a statement, but their inaugural cut 'Stargazer' suggests big things for the Beatnik Creative bunch. Beginning as a submerged wash of delayed guitar notes, the track eventually sprawls out from its hypnotic state by the way of cantering drums and the expansive vocals of singer Rollo Doherty to unveil a crashing chorus that eases the meditative state.

A lush mix of killer vocal harmonies and swish synths make this track from the LA funkers an irresistible slice of electro pop, infectious and entrancing in equal measure.
The stems have been recently made available for remix from Australian label Future Classic as well, which will surely open it to fresher ears. The album artwork is great too.

After revisiting Jackmaster's Tweak-A-Holic mix for Throwback Thursday, we were reminded of this classic from Todd Terje which first surfaced in 2004.
The jaunty bassline and wistful synths have become a trademark of the Norwegian beat magician and over ten years on this still sounds as fresh as when Terje made his break through.
