With Euro 2016 just around the corner we thought it would be good for all involved to compile a playlist to get you in the mood for England's inevitable quarter final penalty shoot out exit, with thirty tracks inspired, about or utilised by the beautiful game (stream it below on Spotify).
A journey into the football songs that have become popularised over the years has uncovered the good, the bad and the frankly horrendous (we're looking at you Granddad Roberts and His Son Elvis), alongside the songs that became terrace chants along the way - Joy Division and Depeche Mode sounding that little bit better when you reword the lyrics around your heroes.
Indie artists like Half Man Half Biscuit, Joe Strummer and the Fall stand up showcasing their penchant for Eastern European teams, with 90s starlets The Lightning Seeds also a key component. Their Match Of The Day favourite 'Life of Riley' makes an appearance alongside the now twenty year old 'Three Lions' - is this another tournament to remember after all?
One final thing, there really are few things better than hearing a footballer rapping. Here's hoping for a great round of games when it all kicks off.
