Brighton's The Great Escape Festival is a celebration of new and emerging artists, as more than 450 up and coming artists gather in the seaside town to showcase their talent. This year's festival welcomes the likes of Cherry Glazerr, Cabbage, and headline performances from punk duo Slaves as well as soulful singer Rag N Bone Man.
Not sure on who to go and see? That's understandable because the sheer amount of new artists on the Great Escape 2017 line up is a little bit overwhelming, so we've created this playlist to help you out.
One thing Great Escape excels at is giving a platform to up and coming acts just before they break through - Grime rapper and soul singer RAY BLK recently won BBC's Sound of 2017 competition and shows no signs of stopping as she's to perform at this year's event and show Brighton what the hype is all about. Signed to Rough Trade records, teen quartet Goat Girl are bound to be big as their debut single, 'Country Sleaze', which ended up trending on Twitter and features on this playlist.
