Skiddle raises £62,000 for GOSH Charity

The partnership between Skiddle and GOSH Charity has led to £62,000 in fundraising over the last year.

Date published: 24th Sep 2024

Last year, we announced that our latest charity partner would be Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity). Recognised as one of the best children’s hospitals in the world, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) has been providing vital care since 1852. GOSH Charity is fundraising to build a brand-new Children’s Cancer Centre, which will help save even more lives.

As part of the partnership between Skiddle and GOSH Charity, 50p from Skiddle’s donation option at checkout will go towards the charity, with another 50p heading to our other charity partner Alder Hey. These donations provide essential funding for new developments, and we are proud to announce that over the course of the last year, over £62,000 has been raised for GOSH Charity by you, our valued customers.

By clicking donate, you’ll contribute to thousands of pounds that will help to push GOSH Charity closer to its fundraising goals. Liz Tait, the Director of Fundraising at GOSH Charity had this to say about the amount raised:

“On behalf of everybody at GOSH Charity, I’d like to say thank you to Skiddle and their customers for raising over £62,000 to help GOSH Charity build the new Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH. Every year, around 1,800 children in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. Research and treatments have dramatically improved survival, but cancer is still the biggest killer of children aged one to 14. This is why we are so grateful for Skiddle's continued support because no childhood should be cut short by cancer. Together, we can Build It. Beat It.”

Skiddle will continue to work closely with GOSH Charity to help fund vital health services for even more children. If you would like to learn more about GOSH Charity and wish to get involved in further fundraising, you can head to their website here.
