Skiddle has teamed up with electronic music platform Beatport, live streaming service Twitch, and multiple other publishers across the world to co-host a live 24 hour DJ marathon this weekend, in aid of the World Health Organisation's (WHO) COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
Featuring sets from the homes and studios of 24 DJs including Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, Bonobo and RÜFÜS DU SOL (you can see the full lineup below), 'Beatport Presents: ReConnect, A Global Music Event' will begin broadcasting from 8pm on Friday 27 March - and you'll be able to watch the stream via Skiddle's Facebook page.
Beatport's CEO, Robb McDaniels, said: “Over the past few weeks, we have seen so much of humanity come together as one to battle the escalation of the Covid-19 virus in an effort to protect the most vulnerable. With so many of us sheltered in our homes, wanting to stay connected to the people and music that plays such a positive role in our lives, Beatport and the passionate DJ community we work with on a daily basis feel compelled to deliver a unique music experience directly into homes across the world.”
