Skiddle Summer Sessions will take place in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Date published: 19th Jun 2019

On Friday 21st June, we're hosting a Skiddle Summer Sessions party at Manchester nightclub Joshua Brooks.

The occasion has been organised to help raise funds to send 8 Skiddle team members to the Peruvian Mountains, to assist in raising further funds for Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Find more info here.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is the busiest children's hospital in the UK caring for over 275,000 young patients each year. The hospital is a centre of excellence for children with cancer, heart, spinal and brain disease and a National Centre for head and facial surgery.

They are one of only four centres nationally to provide epilepsy surgery and one of two accredited major trauma units for children in the North West. The work undertaken by the hospital is crucial to providing a better quality of life to its young patients and the donations they receive help to build a better supportive environment for patients' families.

The Skiddle team will complete a five-day trek across South Americas most famous hike, the Inca trail. To reach their target of raising £44,000, to fund a variety of new services for young people at the hospital, they will cover 26 miles, walking an estimated 70,000 steps, climbing over three mountain passes, dealing with altitudes of over 13,000 feet.

The event, running from 7 pm until 4 am, will see a collection of some of the cities best club brands, including Love Dose, Micron, Off Beat, Left, Right & Centre, Gin & Disco, Bombard Groove, Haus22, Family Tree, Heliocentric, Not Bad For A Girl and Leyland Traxx take to the stage.

Donations on the door are compulsory with all proceeds going towards the Skiddle teams challenge. The first 50 people through the door on the night will also receive a free beer!
