Louder Than Words is a vibrant genre-based literary festival, celebrating words both oral and written associated to our ever expanding and changing music industry.
The 2017 edition Authors, artists, poets, performers, lyrics and lyricists, journalists, DJs, bloggers and publishers of music and popular culture are all included.
We will be there on Saturday 11th November at the Principal Hotel in Manchester to live stream these panels onto the Skiddle Facebook page:
10am - Making the world a better place - unconvention panel discussion
This panel will explore how music inspires, motivates and drives social change, champions causes and challenges injustice.
12:15pm - The vinyl revival and the shops that made it happen
The panel will examine the importance of record stores and vinyl albums in defining culture and communities.
4:15pm - Oh bondage, up yours! - women and subcultures panel
This panel explores feminism, subculture, and creating a new visual and musical language.
8.15pm: DiscoText - The rave scene in media
How do writers write about a beat; how do directors make cinematic sense of the essentially drug-fuelled and wonky?
