It's turning into one of the most unpredictable Premier League seasons to date, with more surprises sprung this weekend. The action got off to a flying start as it looked as though Arsenal's poor run was going to be continued by Aston Villa. The home side took the game to the league leaders and were ahead for most of the game.

Zinchenko got his first goal for Arsenal, a vital equaliser and in a dramatic finisher, Jorginho's sublime shot cannoned into the net off the back of Martinez's head. The keeper then went up for a header and was embarrassed as Arsenal cleared and Martinelli finished into an empty net. Emery later said he didn't want the keeper to go up, but the Argentinian player is no stranger to having a huge ego.

Brentford maintained their impressive unbeaten run by drawing 1-1 at home to Crystal Palace thanks to a late equaliser from Janelt. Brighton dominated at home to Fulham but simply couldn't find the net and to top off their frustrations, Fulham nabbed a surprise winner thanks to Solomon.

Chelsea's miserable run continued, as they looked a shadow of themselves yet again at home to Southampton. A brilliant Ward-Prowse free-kick was enough to ensure victory and at this rate Graham Potter will be the next manager to get the sack. Everton grabbed a vital win over Leeds in what was a key battle to avoid the drop.

One of the big shocks was that Manchester City couldn't make their dominance away at Nottingham Forest count as Haaland missed a sitter. They should have been well clear but in the dying embers of the game, Chris Wood slid in to score an unlikely equaliser that made Arsenal fans very happy.

Bournemouth got a huge victory away at Wolves, who wasted chances in the first half. It saw the away side move out of the relegation zone. Things are looking slightly better for Liverpool who have now won two games in a row after being the side to break Newcastle's unbeaten home streak.

The away side were two goals up thanks to a thunderous strike from Nunez and smart play from Salah to set up Gakpo. They were then given a huge helping hand, literally, by Nick Pope who handled out of the box after slipping when trying to intercept Salah who was through on goal.

Manchester United picked up an easy win with the on-fire Rashford grabbing two goals against Leicester and Sancho grabbing a goal too. Tottenham had a derby game against West Ham and they weren't in too much danger, coming out 2-0 winners. If you're looking to see some more footy action take a look at the events below.
