In the wake of their second album, folk inspired six piece Skinny Lister are about to embark on a extensive tour of the UK to showcase it live before anyone else gets hold of it.
Wherever you're situated in the country, there's bound to be a date etched into their schedule in your surrounding area. Starting in Birmingham at The Rainbow Venues (read about their live music programme) on Wednesday 22nd April, the tour spirals into May ending at Leicester's 02 Academy on the 9th.
What started out as a five piece in London has now became six with the addition of a drummer. More importantly, they evolved into a celebrated live fixture due to their bridging of lively folk music and rebellious punk rock.
The ensemble drilled their name home on the festival circuit with Forge & Flagon, a debut long player that took them to Coachella and Glastonbury. Their second album Down On Deptford Broadway arrives on Xtra Mile Recordings, a label that houses the likes of Frank Turner and Against Me.
'This Is War' (above) provided the first glimpse of their sophomore album, and expands on their folk infused sound that defined the first. If you like the sound of that, then you can get to grips with Down On Deptford Broadway in its entirety when they navigate the UK.
