So NOT Barcelona?

Not lucky enough to be jetting off to Barcelona for Sonar Festival next week? Well the kind folk at The Big Chill Bar are opening their doors for disappointed Sonar fans, for three days of electronic entertainment aptly titled So Not Barcelona.

The weekend of the 16th – 18th June will see performances from Andrew hung (Fuck Buttons), DJ Crabbe who made his name in the French club scene alongside Daft Punk, One half of Insta:Mental Jon Convex, LOL Boys and Bad Autopsy.

And what’s more… it’s all completely free. Sonar Shmonar.

THURSDAY 16TH JUNE 2011 / 7PM – 1AM

Kick-starting the three-day bonanza of sight and sound is Andrew Hung, one half of experimental electronic outfit Fuck Buttons. Andrew’s DJ set will see him venture into the realms of experimentalism via a post-pop and future bass mêlée. Supporting will be Mr Sushi (44 Promotions) and The Monitors.

Things slip up a gear or three on Day Two as Só Not Barcelona welcomes Parisian underground hero DJ Crabbe who makes his London debut as part of SNB. Having made his name on the French-club scene alongside long-serving partner Jesse, DJ Crabbe has released killer trax on B.Yrslf, Flat Lux and Southern Fried. DJ Crabbe will be performing alongside DJ Haus, one half of Hot City one of the purveyors of the finest UKG and Swedish House. Support comes from Kwistax and Love’s Tru Flavour (Wifey)

Day Three sees one of the most exciting producers in UK electronic beats touch down at the Big Chill Bar. Having performed at our 2010 event with partner as Instra:Mental, Kid Drama AKA Jon Convex will headline. Having torn the world apart under his Instra:Mental guise, Jon Convex has released on labels like 3024, NonPlus and Naked Lunch. Prolific sums this man up nicely! Second on the bill is the LOL Boys from Canada.Supporting is Bad Autopsy (Ramp, Well Rounded)
