Since it's inauguration in 2008, Sound City has encapsulated the people of Liverpool and beyond with a rapture of live music and arts. Further solidifying the cities status as a calling point for culture, the festival have announced platinum selling indie band The Vaccines as the third head liner for the event running between 22nd and 24th May.
Entering the fray alongside The Flaming Lips and Belle and Sebastian, The Vaccines arrive with a crop of fresh material at their disposal. Drawing from their imminent third album, English Graffiti, featuring 'Handsome' (below), the four piece's infectious songbook will be welcomed with open arms.
Sound City have also added drum and bass figurehead Roni Size, Canadian punk collective F*cked Up and former Supergrass front man Gaz Coombe amongst a horde of other exciting acts.
Expect more key announcements in the run up to the festival with the conference programme, keynote speaker and plenty more acts still to be announced across the weekend.
