Salford's May Bank Holiday event unleashes full line up of artists, acts, DJs and after parties

Salford’s Sounds From The Other City returns on Bank Holiday Sunday 1st May with a typically eclectic lists acts hand-picked by acclaimed promoters like Now Wave, Hey! Manchester, Sham Bodie and Video Jam.
Highlights include rising Welsh star Gwenno (watch 'Patriarchaeth' below), London mcs Flohio and Cassive and one of 2016’s hottest new bands, Pumarosa. Following last year’s collaboration, BBC Philharmonic & Ex-Easter Island Head join forces once again for a one-off performance in Salford Cathedral while other highlights include Chrononautz’s outsider techno, the avant garde folk of Laura Cannell and the dazzling pop of former Race Horses frontman, Meilyr Jones.
Elsewhere the festival has announced collaborations with The Quietus, Heavenly Records, NTS and The White Hotel who will all be curating stages. A whole raft of after parties are all also planned including Paul Thompson from Franz Ferdinand DJing at First Chop brewery. Check the full line up here
