Music lovers of the north rejoice! Sounds From The Other City is back once again in 2022, returning to the streets of Salford on Sunday 1st May for it's first gathering in more than two years.

A celebration of Manchester's creative and prolific-as-ever music scene, the day-long event is regarded one of the best and busiest independent music discovery affairs in the UK. Championing a host of new music talents from across the city and surrounding towns, the event regularly attracts hundreds if not thousands of musos each year. And numbers of those set to make the pilgrimage in 2022 are expected to hit an all time high, following a lengthy and unscheduled twenty-four month break.

Lovingly organised and curated by a team of fervent music fans, the festival brings imagination, colour and, of course, an always fantastic programme of live acts to the places and spaces which border one of the city's most historic thoroughfare's - Chapel Street.

Situated less than a five minute walk from Manchester's Victoria Train Station, and with tram and bus links also nearby, the festivals location is easy to find and perfectly positioned for those looking to travel to the Northern capital for next year's instalment.

Details surrounding the lineup for Sounds From The Other City 2022 have yet to be revealed. Acts who have appeared over previous years have included Avalanche Party, Working Mens Club, Black Country New Road, Black Midi, Penelope Isles, The Orielles and many, many more. It goes without saying that a high calibre of acts is anticipated.
