A contingent of modern comedic powerhouses will descend on various venues around Southport from Thursday October 15th. Held across 11 events, the festival picks up where it left off last year - showcasing some of the best comic talent on the circuit at up close and personal settings around the seaside town.
Things gets under way with a return from Sean Hughes, whose sell out show at the event last year was one of the week's undisputed highlights. Star of ITV's 'The Chase', Paul Sinha appears the following night on October 16th, with Magnus Betner and Dana Alexander performing on the 17th.
Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats regular Rob Beckett brings his 'Mouth of the South' show to The Bold Hotel on the 19th, followed by Fred MacAulay at the Royal Clifton Hotel on the 20th. Joe Lycett stars on the 21st, followed by both Sara Pascoe and Jason Byrne on the 22nd.
Jo Caulfield, Mick Ferry, Gary Delaney, and Sean Kelly - the auctioneer from 'Storage Hunters' also appear over the course of the festival. Head here for more on Southport Comedy Festival. Click on the respective comedians' names for tickets to their shows.
