What started out as 25 mates sat around a swimming pool with a set of decks and a BBQ has turned into one of the finest, fully fledged festivals on the calendar.
With crowds growing through year on year through word of mouth and high praise from the media, Standon Calling is now well established as one of the events of the summer, an independent festival that plays out as an intimate, overgrown house party. Check out last year's highlights below.
Following on from last year's event which boasted appearances from Frank Turner, Maximo Park, Clean Bandit, Ella Eyre and Charli XCX, the first act to be announced for Standon's tenth edition are no less than British dance music icons Basement Jaxx.
Further revelations are tipped to include more of the hottest breaking electronic pop outfits, as well the freshest talent in new rock and folk. There's a hefty dance line up joining Basement Jaxx too, with Standon Calling 'taking a whole new approach to their late night dance music programming' by 'booking acts guaranteed that keep you moving all night long'.
The festival will also boast an increased family programme, as well as bringing back some of its secret areas that were a highlight of years gone by. Get your Standon Calling tickets here.
