Date published: 24th Sep 2024

Liverpool’s On The Waterfront returns to Pier Head in 2025, packing a summer weekend with stellar shows and live performances. The first headliner announced for 2025 is the ‘Englishman In New York’ singer, Sting, who’ll be performing on Sunday 22nd June.

Sting stops by the city as part of his Sting 3.0 Tour next year. The former frontman, bassist, and primary songwriter of The Police - best known for ‘Every Breath You Take’ - went solo after the band broke up in 1986.

The 17-time Grammy winner is globally adored for his solo music including hits ‘Fields Of Gold', ‘Shape Of My Heart’, ‘Fragile’, and ‘Desert Rose’. A legend in rock music, Sting was awarded a CBE from Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace for his contributions to music in 2003.

Performing at Pier Head, Three Graves will be on one side with the River Mersey on the other, creating a stunning backdrop for the rock legend to take over.

More On The Waterfront events will be announced soon spanning multiple genres. Camelphat, Jamie Webster, James, Nile Rodgers and CHIC have performed at the event in the past. Watch this space for announcements.

Tickets for Sting On The Waterfront go on sale on Friday (27th September) at 9am. As such a big name, signing up for tickets below is essential for anyone interested in catching this legend take over Pier Head.
