The home ground of one of Lancashire's most historic football teams, Blackburn Rovers' Ewood Park is set to welcome up to thirty-thousand eager music fans across the last weekend in May this year, for the debut of a brand new music spectacle - Summer Fest.

A three-day open-air music affair, scheduled to run from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th May 2022, Summer Fest will see some of the UK’s most iconic and legendary musical acts performing over three seriously impressive stages, armed with the very best in live production.

Amongst the headliners at the inaugural outing are the likes of British new wave pioneers, The Human League, who become the first to take the top spot on the bill, on Friday 27th May, while Saturday 28th sees international pop superstar, Boy George gracing Ewood Park with his band, Culture Club. Flying in direct from Los Angeles, the unmistakable frontman will return to home soil for an unforgettable headline performance. Closing the festival on Sunday 29th is none other than British Reggae royalty UB40, featuring Ali Campbell.

Also set to perform over the weekend are renowned artists including Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet, globe conquering R&B collective, Soul II Soul, Midge Ure, Heather Small, Kim Wilde and more. A roster of upcoming artists and DJs including The Lottery Winners, Garden Party, Rivver will also bring excitement to proceedings, with all the weekend's shenanigans being overseen and hosted by Top of the Pops presenter and radio DJ, Mike Read.

A vast offering of tasty and tempting foods will be available at a range of stalls on site with fully stocked and plastic free bars scattered around the grounds, organised and managed by the festival's Carbon-negative partners, Brewdog.

Summer Fest is the first live music event to take place at the stadium since Sir Elton John performed in front of fifteen-thousand people at the ground back in June 2017, and continues on the theme of bringing legendary British musicians to the North West of England.
