SuperCharged is one of the best providers of quality underground music in Brighton. For anyone who considers themselves a fan of house, drum & bass or electronic music in general, any one of these SuperCharged events in the pipeline are bound to pique your interest.
With a litany of belting events throughout the first half of 2024, there’s plenty to get stuck into down in East Sussex.

The first event we’re raving about involves one of the hottest names in DnB, SOTA, bringing his UK tour to Brighton’s trendy Patterns bar on Friday 9th February. The Manchester-based DJ and producer had a breakout year following his show-stealing set at Boundary Festival 2023, and is following up by venturing on his debut UK tour, State Of The Art. He’s taking his talents to Patterns, DJ Mag’s best UK club nominee, alongside Comma Dee, Anais, Formula and James Hiraeth.

Next up, Patterns is hosting genre-bending Badger on Friday 16th February. Known for his experimental tunes that toe the line between different strands of dance music, Badger has been bouncing around various venues across the country and will now be bringing his talents to the South Coast. Joined by underground prospects Jackum and Efan, it’s a must-see for anyone needing their dance music fix.

Heading over to The Volks on the beachfront, SuperCharged is getting international with Dutch producer Jonathan Kievit’s brainchild IMANU linking up with The Caracal Project, the creation of French DJ Félix Burnod. IMANU rejects the typical boundaries and expectations imposed on a DnB producer, and has on Saturday 24th February if you fancy a more experimental and emotional approach to a well-versed genre.

We’re returning to the Marina Parade on Friday 15th March, as Patterns hosts one of the finest artists of any genre in Maribou State. From their beginnings in picturesque Hertfordshire, the treasured electronic duo have built a fierce reputation from their beloved EPs, albums and remixes. It’s guaranteed to be one of the biggest events in Brighton’s calendar this year, as Maribou State are coming off sold-out UK/USA/AUS events and worldwide festival slots.

Dance back on over to The Volks on Saturday 16th March, as Simula makes his SuperCharged debut. Known for his gritty underground style, Simula popped up in the mainstream spotlight thanks to his Bru-C collab ‘You and I’ and has since become revered in the jump-up, minimal and tech scene. He’ll be joined by rising star Gino in what will be another SuperCharged debut. It’s an event hotly anticipated by SuperCharged themselves, so grab tickets while you can for a pair of exciting debuts.

SILK is bringing his infectious feel-good vibes to Patterns on Friday 12th April. Known for his tracks ‘Quiver’ and ‘Supply The Love’, the Watford-based artist has garnered plaudits from industry giants like Disclosure and Fred again for his feel-good production and infectious personality. His support still has yet to be announced, so keep your eyes peeled and watch this space…

Finally, Patterns is providing the backdrop to another show-stopping double act on Saturday 20th April. Eclectic singer-songwriter A Little Sound has emerged as a scene stealer thanks to her dreamy vocal hooks accompanying some modern DnB classics, all while spanning various genres and styles throughout her own music. She’ll be joined by Reading-based Disrupta, a favourite amongst DnB fanatics, who always packs out venues whenever he ventures to Brighton.
