Get Loose residency at TAW has been the highlight of clubbing in the North East over the past year, with some of the guests over the past few months including the likes of Hot Creations leading light Lee Foss, Detroit Swindle, Heidi, and Hot Since 82 amongst many more.
For TAW's very first birthday though, Get Loose show off their ability to stay one step ahead of the game, by inviting some of the most talked about new talents in dance music to its Middlesbrough home.
First up is GotSome, one of the mighty Defected's newest members. Their debut record as a duo has gained massive airplay, with its addictive marrying of hip hop vocals and grooving basslines proving to be dance floor dynamite. With the Bristol born duo influenced by everything from Sasha and Digweed to LTJ Bukem and Roni Size, their productions come as a breath of fresh air to the bass riven, deep house scene. With more releases pencilled in, Gotsome are destined for great things.
Next up is the Mark Knight championed Prince Club, another duo that have taken the underground scene by force recently through hot releases 'Came Back / The Way I Feel’ and ‘Canixo’. Their 90s flavoured house vibe has struck a chord with the current scene, with DJs like Joris Voorn, Claude VonStroke, Riva Starr, Brodinski and Noir. Latest record 'This Kinda Love' (above) has been equally as massive, with its speed garage influenced bassline and soaring vocals looking destined to be one of the biggest records in Ibiza and Miami this year.
Another Defected up and comer comes in the shape of Christoph, whose mastery of a bassline and catchy hook has earmarked him too for future greatness. Check out his Hot Since 82 championed record above to get a feel for his irresistible, groove laden beast like production skills.
