Could David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison finally be putting to bed their differences and reforming Talking Heads? It could just be internet rumour, but then there seem to be enough signs to indicate it's something more.

First off, DJ Joe Rock of WMMO radio posted on his station's Facebook page “Rumor has it Talking Heads are in the studio working on a new album and planning a tour for 2017...” whilst mediamass.net said this “There have been strong rumors that the rock band is finally returning to the recording studio working on a what might be a back-to-roots album... eight songs having been put to tape... Talking Heads are rumoured to be planning a worldwide tour at the end of 2017.”

With the group disbanding in 1991 and the many stories since of tensions between the members, it's an unexpected turn of events, but one that would be greeted with unanimous approval from millions of fans across the globe. Watch this space.
