It's that time of the week again, when the techno lovers in our office rejoice, and select the finest mixes to permeate the office airwaves.
This week, we've plunged for esteemed Berliners Pan-Pot and their rolling cluster of pounding wax from Awakenings. Reaching back to the 2014 leg of the Amsterdam feast, they knit together their signature dark menacing sound with instalments from numerous genre figureheads.
Stepping in with usual code, comprised of surging basslines and dark wonky undertones, the mix eventually blossoms with The Advent & Industrialyzer remix of Frankyeffe - Yes or Not. After a brief reprieve from Dario Zenker, Sasha Carassi initialises a stern assault peaking with the punishing kick and ceaseless jab of Gary Beck's Blotch.
Riddled with mangled nuances throughout, the drum beat soldiers on until Flug's remix of DJ Emerson - Audiopot signals the twosome really coming into their own.
Ben Klock's rework of Josh Wink - Are You There also arrives at peak time before Hinz & Ruhmhardt - Doch arguably lends itself to the sets defining moment. The period of turntable wizardry is capped off by Laurent Garnier's acid bleached classic 'Crispy Bacon' - a drop that gets the nod whether you're trying to concentrate in the office or present at Awakenings.
