Ten of the best... Events you can still experience before July 19th
Four more weeks to wait before our freedoms return once more... That doesn't mean to say there's no fun to be had in the meantime! Check out our list of ten of the best events you can still experience before July 19th

And so, the inevitable has somewhat predictably transpired. Our promised day of freedom here in England has been postponed by another four weeks until Monday 19th July. Fortunately, the outlook this time around isn't as bad as it seems. In fact, we're all in a much better place than we were this time last year, don't forget!
Yes, it sucks that we have to wait a little bit longer to experience what it's like to be a part of a huge crowd at a festival again, or until we can hug strangers at 4 am on a sweaty dancefloor in the club - not that anyone really wants to do that anyway - but at least with the current restrictions, we can still party like it's 2020. In socially distanced, pandemic defying style. It's something we've all become very good at. Like, who isn't a seasoned COVID complaint party pro by now?!
And there's more good news - there's still a buffet of smashing, socially distanced events taking place in the run-up to our newly announced date of freedom with tickets still on sale!
From responsibly managed outdoor music festivals to mouth-watering beer and food events, raves in purpose-built open-air venues and socially distanced comedy shows - there's a real eclectic choice of events to be experienced whilst we wait for the conclusive end of the government's lockdown roadmap.
Unfortunately, however, as a direct result of Boris' floundering, many promoters and events are still set to lose out, and might even be forced to lock away their party-throwing expertise and talents for good! Imagine a world in which we didn't have live gigs, raves and festivals... A terrible place no doubt!
Teams of event organisers across the UK, who Skiddle so closely work with and greatly admire, are scrambling into action, doing everything they can to once again rearrange the events scuppered due to the government's latest postponement.
For those of you reading who have acquired tickets for an event that has now unfortunately been postponed, we encourage you to keep hold of your ticket to help support our excellent events sector, the dedicated teams who are working tirelessly to bring them back, and the music industry in general. Trust us, once society does reopen for good, you're going to be glad you kept hold of your tickets. It is without question, going to go off.
Anyway, preaching over with... For those who haven't got tickets to events or plans for that matter, check out our list of ten of the best events you can still experience before Monday 19th July below, and grab yourself a ticket whilst you still can!
