Terminal V announce three brand new stages, weekend residents and more
The UK's biggest indoor electronic music festival will welcome eighty renowned acts to perform over the weekend-long event, with exclusive back-to-back sets and much more planned for those in attendance
Date published: 22nd Feb 2022
Arguably the UK's biggest indoor electronic music gathering, Terminal V has recently announced further exciting details surrounding this Easter's highly anticipated comeback event.
The 2022 edition of the festival, an event two and a half years in the making, will fill the huge spaces that make up Edinburgh's colossal Royal Highland Centre once again with the sound of heavy hitting house and techno, across Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April.
The recently revealed new details include three all-new stages - The Hangar, The Blackbox and Cargo - as well as stage splits, special back-to-back sets and a handful of weekend residencies, much to the delight of those of you thinking of attending this year no doubt.
Bringing another large main arena stage, The Hangar boasts a unique and mind blowing design, while the newly founded Blackbox stage incorporates a low ceiling and atmospheric minimal lighting to create an intimate atmosphere. The third new arrival, Cargo, will see festival-goers encapsulated in an enveloping stage, animated by immersive lighting from all angles.
The brand new platforms will join iconic stages, Area V, The Terminal, The Green House and The Palms Bar Stage, the seventh and final stage, all of which return for the 2022 edition.
Take a look at Ben Klock's performance on the Area V Stage from 2018's edition of Terminal V, below
The first day of the festival will see the Area V Stage headlined by the likes of Amelie Lens, Sven Vath, Dax J and Helena Hauff, whilst over three thousand rave revellers go wild at The Terminal Stage to Alan Fitzpatrick, Joyhauser, Deborah de Luca and T78.
The more intimate Cargo welcomes HAAi, Dr Rubinstein and Shanti Celeste, and The Hangar will bounce to the sounds of Kobosil, VTSS and more. Floorplan, Ewan McVicar, Kornél Kovács, Mike Servito, Luke Solomon, Hector Oaks, Frazier and more will also all show their worth on The Green House and Blackbox stage.
Festival stage splits over both dates can be found below...
On Sunday, Area V welcomes Nina Kraviz back to the stage with the likes of FJAAK and Paula Temple. Green Velvet, Eats Everything, Solardo, Rebuke, Eli Brown and Jamie Roy will all be seen laying it down on The Terminal stage, while Cargo hosts Mall Grab, Special Request, Young Marco and Effy.
The Hangar has Maceo Plex, Tale Of Us, Mind Against, Tijana T and Man Power, The Green House brings house vibes with Chaos in the CBD, Kerri Chandler, Cinthie, Prins Thomas, Hammer, Roi Perez and more and Blackbox is home to Perc, Ben Sims, Rolando, Wallis and IDA.
Linking up to perform exclusive back-to-back sessions on Saturday are DJ greats the likes of Marcel Dettmann with Stingray 313, Alan Fitzpatrcik with Rebuke, Ben UFO with Helena Hauff, Octo Octa with Eris Drew, and on Sunday, Steffi and Virginia.
