It feels a very long time since we’ve done a line-up announcement. But now, with lockdown restrictions beginning to ease across Europe, there is a palpable sense of optimism returning to the live sector.
Not least in Edinburgh, where the team behind Terminal V are putting in place plans for a huge October ‘Halloween Spooktacular’ event, which replaces their Easter show cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking over their usual home at the Royal Highland Centre on October 31st with five stages of ‘immersive production, mind-blowing visuals and world class sound systems’, acts announced so far include Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Floorplan, Honey Dijon, Ben UFO, Helena Hauff, Rebuke, Eats Everything, I Hate Models, Tijana T, Shanti Celeste and plenty more.

Terminal V organisers have also put together a ‘Plan C’ contingency should the October event be unable to go ahead. The event will be moved to Easter 2021 with a ‘ticket guarantee in place’, meaning customers can purchase with confidence. However, there are limited tickets available for October, so customers are advised to move quickly.
"We’ve spent the most part of lockdown working with artist agents and management rescheduling acts from the April event to October,” says Terminal V’s Derek Martin, “but also ensuring they can do a ‘plan C’ date in Easter 2021, in case this needs to happen.
“It has been amazing to see our customers standing by us throughout these unprecedented times, keeping hold of their tickets and allowing us to ensure the event takes place in these months ahead.
“That gives us even more drive to deliver the very best event we can when things finally get back to normal. It has also been extremely refreshing to see the industry come together from all areas, with everyone helping each other the best they can to get through this," he adds.
