Leeds’ rooftop bars range from the fancy to the casual, so it’s easy to find one with an atmosphere that suits you. And with DJs, tasty treats, drinks, summery decor, and all that good stuff, they make a fantastic summer haven you could spend a whole day in just laughing and having a cracking time. 

So here are the best rooftop bars in Leeds to book a table at in time for that incoming blazing heat wave. 

 

Green Room

 If you’re looking for a new summer hideout, Green Room is the one. This social space with a bar, cafe, eatery, roof terrace (the largest in Leeds), music, and more is the place to be when the sun comes out. Green Room is new but already one of the best rooftop bars in Leeds.

  


 

Cuckoo

This vibrant bar with pizza, cocktails, bottomless brunch and just about everything else you could wish for also has one of the best rooftop bars in Leeds. It’s not immediately obvious, but the Secret Gin Garden is there, and it's ready for you! And with free 6 inch pizzas with any drink before 9 pm, we don’t know why we aren’t there already!

If you’re looking for Leeds rooftop bars that were made to impress, Crafthouse is a great shout. Crafthouse is a restaurant with a rooftop bar adorned with trees, flowers, and astroturf, perfectly capturing those summer vibes. As Crafthouse is a fine dining restaurant, it’s a good idea to book to avoid disappointment.

For starters, this bar has two rooftop areas to chill in while you sip a drink and pretend you aren’t getting sunburnt. Another hidden gem, Roland’s rooftop terrace isn’t immediately obvious but is a lovely little cosy retreat for the summer. And since it isn’t so obvious, it’s unlikely to be as packed as the other Leeds rooftop bars. There are also a dozen beers on tap, cans and bottles, cocktails (of course), wine, gin, whisky, and nibbles to keep you satisfied all day long. 

  


 

East 59th

East 59th is another pretty and stylish choice with flowers, umbrellas to stop you from turning into a Drumstick Squashie under the summer sun, seasonal cocktails, and a diverse food menu. But a word of warning, you need to know the password to get in. To get the code, first, you’ll need to go on a three-day quest and sell your soul to Satan.
