The Best Bonfire Night and Firework Events in Cardiff

Bonfire Night in Cardiff is always a special occasion. With the picturesque seafront views offered at many firework events, as well as the stunning Welsh mountain vistas offered by those further out of the city, it's truly one of the best places in the country to see the night sky painted in explosive colours.

The tradition of Bonfire Night is one of the nation's favourite Autumnal celebrations - families and friends stood side-by-side, mouths agape, warmed by the bonfire, watching some truly impressive displays. So, if you're wondering where to watch the fireworks in Cardiff this year, then do not fear, as we've got a list right here for you!

So, without further ado, here are the best firework displays in Cardiff, plus some slightly further afield. 

 

Lo Lounge Fireworks Night 

When: Friday 1st - Tuesday 5th November 2024 

Where: Lo Lounge in Cardiff

Lo Lounge in Cardiff Bay is back with some of the best firework displays in Cardiff this year, bringing us five separate displays. The events bring fireworks and fire shows, hot chocolate (including boozy options), street food by Wing Stack and Hench Burger, music, cocktails, draught beer, board games, and views from the venue’s vantage points.

Cardiff Harlequins RFC Firework Display

When: Sunday 3rd November 2024

Where: Diamond Ground in Cardiff

Not much has been revealed about this Bonfire Night Cardiff event yet, but they’ll be revealing more info soon on Cardiff Harlequins RFC’s Facebook page. The annual display has been confirmed to return on the 3rd, with tickets at £5 per person, with under 10s going free.

Taff’s Well Rugby Club Fireworks Display 

When: Sunday 3rd November 2024 

Where: Taff’s Well RFC in Taff's Well, Cardiff

Once again celebrating Bonfire Night in Cardiff, Taff’s Well RFC returns with its annual fireworks display. Keeping it simple, under 3s go free, a ticket is £5, and a ticket for a family of four is £15.

Fireworks Spectacular 2024

When: Saturday 9th November 2024

Where: Woodland Venue, Llanerch Vineyard in Hensol, Pontyclun

A 20-30-minute drive from Cardiff can take you to Hensol’s Llanerch Vineyard, which brings an enchanting, family-friendly evening of fireworks. The fireworks will be set to a musical score and enhanced by a light show. The event boasts entertainment from the Apple Tree Theory band and circus performers. Tickets include a hot dog!

Fireworks Night at Vale Resort 

When: Sunday 3rd November 2024

Where: Vale Resort in Hensol, Pontyclun

Vale Resort’s fireworks display returns this year due to popular demand. Back with a bang on the Sunday before the 5th of November, they bring another dazzling display to light up the skies around the Vale of Glamorgan.

Fireworks Extravaganza 

When: Saturday 2nd November 2024

Where: Llantrisant & Pontyclun Golf Club in Pontyclun

Another that’s not really in Cardiff but only about a half-hour drive away, this fireworks event looks ace, so we had to include it. Under 5s go free at this Talbot Green show. Lighting up the sky with colour, the event offers food and drinks - including alcohol - sweets and cake stalls, music from Llantrisant Male Voice Choir, and stalls to buy light-up glasses, hair pieces, and glow sticks to get into the festive spirit.

Fireworks & Food Chepstow

When: Sunday 10th November 2024

Where: Chepstow Racecourse in Chepstow

We’re cheating a bit here, but this one’s too good to leave out, so forgive us. We think you will after you see what it’s offering. Social Eats, known for its banging street food events, offer us a few fantastic Bonfire Night events this year. 

This one in Chepstow boasts a low-noise fireworks show, a laser show, fire breathers and dancers, and a live music stage to keep everyone entertained. Of course they had to come through with street food, cocktails, and artisan bars, too. Finally, they've got amusement rides and craft stalls to ensure every member of the family is happy. Social Eats is going all in, and it’s going to be ace.
