Record Store Day is almost upon us. Have you made a plan for the day? Are you the type to get there early to catch your favourite records or do you prefer to turn up later and scavenge through the gems that have been left behind? There's a huge drop for this year's event so we thought we'd highlight some of the most exciting limited edition vinyl you can pick up.

Childish Gambino- Kuai

This is the first time that Childish Gambino's Kuai has ever been made available on vinyl and what's even better it comes in a lovely blue colour. The album is critically-acclaimed just like the rest of the Childish Gambino category and you can find incredible tracks such as Sober and Pop Thieves (Make It Feel Good) on there.

The Cranberries- Remembering Dolores

Dolores O'Riordan, unfortunately, passed away back in 2018 and she left behind an incredible career that produced some of the most influential music to ever come from Ireland. This album has been compiled with care to pay tribute to a legendary artist who fronted an iconic band.

Holly Humberstone- The Walls Are Way Too Thin

Holly Humberstone has shot up out of nowhere in the past year. She released her EP The Walls Are Way Too Thin in 2021 and for Record Store Day you can find an exclusive picture-disc edition of it on vinyl. With singles such as Scarlett and Haunted House, this can't be missed, she's a name who is going to be around for a while and surely has greater heights to reach.

Pixies- Live at Coachella 2004

Pixies are masters of absurdism, the maniacal laughs of Black Francis on albums such as Doolittle are so creepy yet intriguing at the same time and they're a band who absolutely shred. With a long career that has delivered hit after hit, you can hear live versions on this vinyl. Their entire performance from Coachella 204 has been turned into wax for your enjoyment.

Rizzle Kicks- Stereo Typical

We are crying out for Rizzle Kicks to return. If you, like us, can't wait that long then at least you can settle for their album Stereo Typical being released on green vinyl. This is an underrated gem of an album that the streets won't forget and now you can add it to your physical collection too.

Taylor Swift- The Lakes

Taylor Swift is this year's Record Store Day ambassador, a huge coup to promote the event as it gets the seal of approval from one of the biggest pop stars in the world. She has changed up her style on recent albums with brilliant releases in Evermore and Folklore. The Lakes is a new single release taken from Folklore that Taylor will be released on vinyl just for Record Store Day and we can't wait to hear it.

Weyes Blood- The Innocents

If you haven't been introduced to the mesmerising and encapsulating worlds that Weyes Blood creates then this is the perfect time to go exploring. Her second album which was released in 2014 shows off her unmatched vocals in their full capacity, you won't believe how much of a special and unique artist she is.

Fatboy Slim- Praise You/Right Here Right Now Remixes

Fatboy Slim hardly needs an introduction and neither do two of his hit singles Praise You and Right Here Right Now. Well, there's a special treat for fans of the master DJ on Record Store Day as you'll be able to hear remixes of these two tracks and see them in a whole new light.

The Streets- Original Pirate Material Boxset

The Streets' Original Pirate Material turned 20 this year and it's one of the most iconic early Grime records that the UK produced. It launched the career of Mike Skinner and co and has so many memorable lyrics etched throughout it. You can pick yourself up a whole box set dedicated to the record this weekend.

-

Iggy Pop- Berlin 91

Iggy Pop was always known for being one of the loudest and most extreme live performers that punk music ever produced. He hadn't slowed down by 1991 and you can pick up this recording of Iggy's live performance from Berlin that year. We're sure that it will come with an absurd amount of energy, watch your record player doesn't overheat.
