Manchester Academy is to welcome two huge names in the world of psych rock this Autumn, with a huge display of guitar bashing and cosmic vibes set for the venue on Saturday 20th October.
Strange Waves IV sees Now Wave and Strange Days collaborate once again to curate a bill that is set to entertain the Mancunian crowd immensely, calling upon The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Flamingods to deliver seismic performances as the events two big name acts.
The former are due to bring with them Something Else, their 17th full-length release, the style of which is less experimental than more recent records and harks back to the traditional sound of the band by all accounts. As well as Something Else, fans will hope the band will be dropping tracks from their self titled second release of the year which is due to drop in September
London four piece Flamingods last released music in 2016, with the magnificent Majesty, a groovy, guitar heavy 10 song collection that demonstrates their ear for world sounds and sees the multi instrumentalists hit top gear.
The two acts are to be joined by a number of artists still to be announced for the event.
