The Charlatans confirmed for Scotland's Electric Fields

Madchester veterans The Charlatans are the latest act added to the bill at Scotland's Electric Fields festival. 

Tim Burgess and co (check out the classic 'The Only One I Know' below) will be heading to the beautiful surroundings of Dumfries & Galloway on August 26th and August 27th where they will be headlining alongside fellow indie icons Primal Scream.

As well as fronting the headliners, Burgess will be hosting the 'Tim Peaks' stage where he will be welcoming his favourite DJs and bands. 

Former Beta Band singer Steve Mason, Mercury Prize nominee C Duncan and rap innovators the Sugarhill Gang will also be making appearances on the main stage with The Go Team!, Don Letts and Bill Ryder Jones among the artists playing the second stage. 

Electronic music is also strongly represented with Erol Alkan, Joy Orbison and Factory Floor all appearing on a stage hosted by Edinburgh's Sneaky Pete's venue.
