British nu-jazz and electronica collective The Cinematic Orchestra will play their first live Manchester gig in almost a decade at Albert Hall on November 27th, followed by an appearance at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith the following night.
Stalwarts of the ever brilliant Ninja Tune label since the end of the nineties, Cinematic Orchestra's use of live improvised jazz with hip hop inspired beats, a turntablist cutting and scratching samples, and glorious orchestral sections, has yielded some of the richest downtempo records ever committed to wax.
Check out their brilliant re-scoring of 1929 experimental film The Man With The Movie Camera to get a feel for the sound these guys are renowned for. Get your tickets to the Cinematic Orchestra in Manchester here or below.
