The Coral have been announced to headline the Sunday night at Liverpool Sound City 2016.
It will be the first appearance from the band in five years when they play at Bramley Moore Dock, the waterfront location that hosts the UK's biggest city-based festival.
On making their Merseyside return, The Coral singer James Kelly said: "Sound City is a great festival and the setting is just incredible, we're really looking forward to the headline slot and being back in Liverpool. It's going to be a very special show."
Sound City is an annual beacon of music and culture in Liverpool and will take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May with many more acts and bands still to be announced.
