In a city as musically rich as Leeds, you need to be doing something really special to make your venue standout, which is exactly what The Faversham, lovingly referred to as The Fav, has delivered. Established in 1947, the Faversham has since been one of the leading lights in the UK clubbing scene - none other than Danny Tenaglia enjoyed his UK debut at the venue back in 1985.
The hotel turned night spot has become renowned for its championing of fresh, cutting edge music in the worlds of indie, alternative and rock as well as dance music. Now a multi purpose venue serving top grub during the day, and featuring an unrivalled selection of beers, it has become the prime destination for many of Leeds' most ardent music fans who can't get enough of its high end, creative experiences. We check out what nights The Fav has in store this month.
Tech house tornadoes Capulet (listen to their track 'Whatever' above) return with their night Troupe on the 7th, which will also guest star turns from Birmingham house don Subb-An, Hot Creations techno expert wAFF, and London based double team Weighty Ways. Grab your tickets here.
Upfront, feel good imprint French Express take over The Fav on the 11th, with a gripping selection of label stalwarts brought along for the adventure. Jonas Rathsman brings his soulful, forthright sounds to Leeds, as heard in his latest release for the label above. The always impressive Isaac Tichauer supports, as does Moon Boots. Bag those tickets here.
As part of the nationwide Hot Cakes tour, the all conquering beats and bass brand brings a hot as hell array of bass music and breaks bosses to The Fav on November 15th. Label favourites Deekline and Jurassik are joined by the eclectic, dance floor primed sounds of London duo Jack Beats for a night of full on bass-fuelled carnage (hear some of that in their Fabriclive promo mix above), with Bosh! mainstays Tim Toil and Wetty & Fenzo amongst the support. Get your tickets here.
