After two highly successful years, the Funk & Soul Weekender returns in 2019 to kick off the festival season in its new, bigger home. The weekender will this year take place at Brighton Beach between Friday 17th - Sunday 19th May.
Promising some brilliant funk, jazz and soul performances by the likes of Kamasi Washington, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Alice Russell, and Kamaal Williams, the event will also have hip hop from The Pharcyde and DJ Yoda (live) and Joel Culpepper, plus the big brass sounds of Hackney Colliery Band.
DJs will play a soulful mixture of disco, house, jazz funk, soul and others styles, with sets this year coming from the likes of Maribou State, Craig Charles, Gilles Peterson, Romare, Norman Jay and Marshall Jefferson.
You can join the party by grabbing The Funk and Soul Weekender tickets from the link below.
