After announcing announcing that the festival is set to return in 2020, the organisers of Inverness' The Gathering have unveiled the first names on their line up.
Taking over Inverness' historic Northern Meeting Park for the second time, the festival organisers have promised another day crammed full of the finest culture the Highlands has to offer.
The fist names announced for The Gathering 2020 line up include legendary Scottish trailblazers Peatbog Faeries, Celtic rock band Wolfstone, bagpipe cover band specialists Red Hot Chilli Pipers, ‘The Led Zeppelin of the folk world’ Blazin' Fiddles, plus more including Torridon, Rhythmnreel, Trail West and the City of Inverness Youth Pipes and Drums. Punters can expect to hear the atmospheric sounds of traditional bagpipe performances roaring out across the festival site, fused with the newer more youthful sounds of modern day Scotland, as they are tempted by the exclusively Scottish craft cuisine and beverages available.
Next year's event will take place on Saturday 30th May, and The Gathering 2020 tickets can now be purchased below.
