Synthpop superheroes The Human League hit Preston on September 2nd, to headline the Preston Guild celebrations at Avenham Park.

The Sheffield New Wave band have sold more than 20 million records world wide since their formation in the late seventies, with huge hits such as 'Don't You Want Me', 'Mirror Man' and 'Love Action' being firmly woven into the UK's musical heritage.
The trio, led by vocalist and songwriter Phil Oakey, will perform in a specially constructed Big Top in Preston's Avenham Park on September 2nd, as part of the city's Guild celebrations.
Joining them will be classic synthpoppers Blancmange.
