Set at the heart of Liverpool's vibrant music scene, The Kazimier has and will continue to be central to alternative music culture in the city, providing a platform for outstanding artists old and new from all walks of the musical spectrum. It undoubtedly stands as one of our favourite venues, not only for the music, but for it's uniqueness and character that fittingly embodies Liverpool as a city.
So far this year, we've took in some hip hop royalty at the venue, witnessing the likes of Ghostface Killah (review here) and Pharoahe Monch (review here), with much more to look forward to when the likes of Dead Prez hit Liverpool's hottest joint with some added political fire.
Once again, after a summer of punters basking in the rustic backdrop of it's summer garden, the venue has a tasty bastion of acts heading to the venue for the winter months. In sync with what's to come, we've turned the spirit of the venue into something all the more audible and racked up a Spotify playlist for the Kazimier lovers to sink their teeth into.
To get the ball rolling we've compromised a list of tracks from artists who've recently graced the confines of the venue, as well as a horde of material from artists that are still to come in the near future.
Highlights include 'I should know you better' from Scottish synth-pop sensations Prides arriving on Friday 17th October, a classic in 'It's bigger than hip-hop' from Dead Prez due on Thursday 23rd October, and 'Young Chasers' from native indie rock specialists Circa Waves rounding off their UK tour on Thursday 20th November.
