We are back with Last Laugh for October, where we look at all the best comedy events on Skiddle in the coming months and through to the end of the year; check them out below!

The spooky season is approaching, but whilst many are looking to give themselves a fright in the coming weeks, why not change the vibe up a bit and settle for some laughs at a Stand-Up Comedy gig instead; your heart will thank you at least! You could be sat down with a bev, in a room of like-minded people, watching some of the funniest people in the country perform their latest sets. if Halloween isn't for you, these gigs will be excellent alternatives.

So it's good news that right here on Skiddle, we've got a huge variety of UK comedy shows for you to go and do exactly that.

We've got an awesome day of comedy in featuring some of the biggest names in the Biz coming to Carmarthen; a night of comedy in a converted church in Chester courtesy of the Comedians Club Chester; and we've also got some huge names, like Kae Kurd, Stephen Bailey, and Josh Jones, touring the country with their latest hours. Basically, we've got all the gigs to satiate your comedic needs.

The Comedy Cabaret - Glasgow

When: Friday 6th October 2023

Where: The Comedy Cabaret Glasgow Blackfriars Of Bell St in Glasgow

A legendary night of Comedy in Glaswegian surrounds, The Comedy Cabaret, has moved venues after its previous venue was sold, and they are back with their regular Friday Show for the foreseeable. But, for their first show in Blackfriars, they are bringing in some special comics to celebrate.

Heading up the lineup is none other than the inaugural winner of Best Headliner at the Scottish Comedy Awards, Gary Little. Gary is a legend in Scotland and is a referenced inspiration in Kevin Bridges' autobiography. Also on the bill is Scottish Comedian Of The Year finalist, Paul McDaniel, bringing his iconic deadpan irony; as well as the inaugural winner of Outstanding Contribution to Comedy at The Scottish Comedy Awards, Viv Gee. It's a lineup of Scottish comedic excellence, that you cannot miss!

Proper Comedy with Milton Jones

When: Sunday 5th November 2023

Where: Propyard in Bristol

The next Proper Comedy night at Bristol's institution is Propyard is with none other than the king of one-liners and certified oddball Milton Jones!

A regular on Mock the Week, Milton has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo and has headlined Dave’s One Night Stand, leaving laughter in his wake wherever he steps foot. And his next stop? Propyard; bringing you a comedy night that will leave you in stitches (the good kind, of course). The CCC with Dan Nightingale

When: Saturday 14th October 2023

Where: St Marys Creative Space in Chester

The Comedians Club Chester is one of the best new comedy clubs in the North West. Laughter pours out of the incredible converted church that is St Mary's Creative Space for one Saturday every month and the gigs are hosted by one half of the Have A Word Podcast, Dan Nightingale. at least when he's not out on tour (as he is for this one.)

This time around though, you won't be missing him (sorry Dan), as you've got the incredible Danny McLoughlin as step-in MC, with the likes of midlands deadpan specialist, Matt Bragg; Italian-Irish Fringe-award nominated rising star, Vittorio Angelone; and seasoned cult comic hero, Rob Rouse closing the bill. Proper Comedy with Angelos Epithemiou, Andrew Bird & Olivia Lee

When: Sunday 3rd December 2023

Where: Propyard in Bristol

The final Proper Comedy night at Propyard before Christmas will see yet another stellar lineup of comedians take the stage, with the awesome Angelos Epithemiou headlining. Unwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC2), Dave’s One Night Stand and Channel 4’s The Angelos Epithemiou Show, cult favourite Angelos Epithemiou takes a giant leap into the spotlight yet again in this shambolic, weird and wonderful show.

Hosting the night will be Manc funny man Harry Stachini, with both Andrew Bird and Olivia Lee also doing thier sets to get the rooms bubbling with laughter, this night at Propyard looks set to be a stormer, grab your tickets now!

COBO: Comedy Shutdown Black History Month Special - Bradford

When: Friday 6th October 2023

Where: The Studio in Bradford

Bringing a Black History Month Special to a venue near you, COBO: Comedy Shutdown are coming to Bradford this weekend, and it's going to be an evening of rip-roaring, back-slapping belly laughs!

The night sees Kyrah Gray (Netflix, Comedy Central Live), Loyiso Gola (Live At The Apollo, Comedy Central), Trixx (Stand Up Comedian & Web Star From Toronto), and Clayton Jones (Last Minute Comedian of Year, English Comedian of the Year Finalist). It’s a comedy night that is not only packed to the brim with jokes but also celebrates the vast array of comedic talent throughout Black History Month.

Good Ship Comedy presents Catherine Bohart

When: Friday 15th December 2023

Where: The Birds in London

Catherine Bohart has quickly become one of the most sought-after comedians in the UK and Ireland. Her first two shows - Immaculate and Lemon - were autobiographical pieces about her life as the bisexual, OCD daughter of a Catholic deacon and an attempt to smash stereotypes around sex, sexuality and relationships. They set the foundation for her fast rise up the comedy ranks, a hugely deft writer and utterly beguiling performer, Catherine is fast becoming an unmissable comedy prospect.

The Laughienda Comedy Club Preston - Josh Jones

Where: The Continental in Preston

Mancunian ray of sunshine, Josh Jones is the one of the most original voices to emerge from the North-West in recent years. From being nominated for Best Newcomer at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his critically acclaimed sell-out show 'Waste of Space', to being a finalist for the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, which he subsequently went on to judge on BBC Three, Josh is a superstar in the making and this night at The Continental in Preston is an amazing chance to see him in action.

Frog and Bucket Comedy Night at the Fat Bird

Where: Fat Bird in Wigan
