We are back once again with the December edition of Last Laugh, where we look at all the best comedy events on Skiddle during the last month of 2023, and into the New Year; check them out below!

Throughout December, and into 2024, we've got a huge variety of comedy shows for you to test your funny bone at. From the tour show of Scouse and Hot Water crowd work extraordinaire, Paul Smith; to some of the biggest comics in the country coming to small venues near you; to festive comedic forays where you can get more laughs than just those out the crackers this Christmas. We've got all the gigs to satiate your comedy needs during the colder months

CLOSEUP COMEDY at Herberts Yard with Kane Brown
When: Wednesday 13th December 2023
Where: Herberts Yard in Birmingham
Part of Closeup Comedys run of gigs around Birmingham, every Wednesday in the run-up to Christmas, this night at Herberts Yard, with the incredibly charismatic and funny Kane Brown looks set to be the best of the bunch. Expect uproarious laughter, a crowd like no other, and potentially an audience member getting Kane to recreate his viral clip (cha, upset me, nasty b***h) this show is going to be a belter, and there are few venues in Birmingham better to see comedy in December.

Christmas Comedy at the Market ft Tez Ilyas
When: Thursday 14th December 2023
Where: Red Brick in Wellington
What better festive present than a proper good laugh, eh? This year in Wellington, just outside of Birmingham Tez Ilyas, one of the most celebrated stars in British comedy, is joined by regular MC Rob Mulholland, with Mike Newall & Adam Beardsmore supporting, for a Christmas comedy extravaganza at the Red Brick market that looks set to be one of the best comedy events in the city this festive season.

The Comedians Club Chester is one of the best new comedy clubs in the North West. Laughter pours out of the incredible converted church that is St Mary's Creative Space for one Saturday every month and the gigs are hosted by one half of the Have A Word Podcast, Dan Nightingale. With this one being the last of 2023.
This time around, Dan will be joined by the Mancunian rising star Harry Stachini; the one-man-band musical comedy machine, Duncan Oakley; with the effortlessly hilarious Canadian legend that is Glenn Wool headlining. It's going to be a cracker in the New Year in Chester, grab your tickets now!

Laugh Train Home Ft Sara Pascoe
When: Wednesday 3rd January 2024
Where: The Four Thieves in London
For over a decade, we have been bringing you the best UK and international comedians, Laugh Train Home is known for hilarious comedy nights, a fun atmosphere and a bit of the unexpected, and this time around, the legendary Sara Pascoe is coming to The Four Thieves to bring the laughs.
From Live At The Apollo to QI to Taskmaster, Sara's comedy has made millions crease over in a giggle, and we're sure the same thing will happen for all in attendance here. Plus, it's only £9! Which is excellent value for someone of Sara Pascoes quality and fame, grab them below!

Attributed to Mark Twain, humour is defined as Tragedy Plus Time. Come and join Ed Byrne as he tests that formula by mining the most tragic event in his life for laughs. The renowned comic reflects on his younger brother's recent death, and during the show, you will see Ed at his most compelling and funniest yet.
It got rave reviews at the Fringe, and hasn't stopped bringing in four or five stars since, make sure to see this one while you can!
