With the season coming to an end, there's no better time than now to get your last slice of Balearic action. September is full to the brim with the biggest DJs playing the best clubs, the sun is still scorching, the drinks are on ice and the Mambo’s sunset is still there to be enjoyed; all that’s left is for you to make the hard decision of which date in September to arrive.
Kick starting the month with a bang is Fatboy Slim. Norman Cook has been a pioneer of dance music for decades and his high-energy sets are nothing but notorious, and he takes to the Ibiza Rocks stage on Wednesday 2nd September.
Expect a progressive set list of current electronic house music, finely cut with his own productions, samples, new edits and classic mash ups. The beautiful thing about attending a Fatboy Slim concert is the surprise element of not knowing what’s coming next.
Over to Sankeys Ibiza and Tough Love have been doing a stellar job hosting The Redlight. The Thursday residency has showcased a hot bed of talent so far and features the perfect mix of legendary artists and a new breed of house and garage acts.
Still to come this month is Todd Terry, MJ Cole, Preditah, Low Steppa and 99 Souls, as well as sets each night from the Tough Love boys themselves.
Thursday 10th September will see Cream's first closing party of 2015 at Amnesia, with part two taking place on 17th September - and the longest running club night on the island know how to go out in style. Chart topper Duke Dumont takes over the Terrace for part one along side Above & Beyond.
Few artists embody the superclub era better than German DJ and producer Paul Van Dyk who will headline part two. Joining him in the main arena will be Aly & Fila.
Expect plenty of nostalgic Cream trance classics to take you through to the early hours. The Terrace for part two will also play host to Fatboy Slim, DJ Fresh and a London based trio who are enjoying a wave of success at the moment, Disciples (listen to their track with Calvin Harris below).
Glitterbox comes to the end of its 16 week run over at Space Ibiza on the 25th September and it's set to be sublime celebration of a successful season. Tapping into the current disco revival and bringing the fun, funk, disco and house, disco lovers can expect Glitterbox to be fabulous in every way.
The closing fiesta will see Dimitri From Paris (read our interview with him) flaunting the kind of flamboyant disco that has come back in to vogue, disco edits king Greg Wilson and Horse Meat Disco end their successful residency in true Ibiza style.
The calendar is jam packed with impressive closing parties and Together at Amnesia on Tuesday 22nd September have a line up any dance music fan would salivate over.
Mirroring their epic opening party back in June; Chase & Status, Sigma and Wilkinson will hold court in the main arena with Shy FX. Over in the Terrace, Defected bring their residency to a close with a big send off from the house master MK, Shadow Child and residents Sonny Fodera and Sam Divine.
The eclectic fusion of drum and bass in one room and house in another offers something for every reveller and solidifies how successful the partnership between Together and Defected has been over the past 16 weeks. The combination has been a force to be reckoned with and a season highlight more-so!
