The Moods, sign artist development deal with Manchester Indie record label, A1M Records, which sees the Moods, mighty music is getting the exposure it rightly deserves.

The Moods message is loud and clear. This 9-strong band unifies rap, brass and beats, delivering potent, political lyrics for a post-2016 world. The Moods will make you dance, and then they'll make you think. This summer, they release "Joy", debut single and video, play high profile summer festival dates, and take their bold, live show on the road for a UK tour.

Autumn will see the release of their album, Missing Peace, with a massive launch party planned for the iconic O2 Ritz in Manchester, followed by even more unmissable gigs.

Two of the band's songs, feature prominently in the soundtrack of new UK feature film Strangeways Here We Come. Starring Michelle Keegan, Lauren Socha and "No Offence's Elaine Cassidy". Makers of the Salford-set, darkly-comic feature film chose not one but two of The Moods, tracks for the soundtrack, testament to the fact that their sound captures the atmosphere of northern urban life.

Paul Travis, of A1M records says "here at the label we are delighted to be working with the lads from the moods, & have secured a deal that brings together a top industry collective of; online & regional press, PR, & Radio pluggers, video, photographers & Music producers, all working together to develop The Moods, innovative new music"

The Moods Commented "We're buzzing to be working with A1M records. The help and support they've already shown us has been amazing and this is just the start of a great relationship. They have faith in what we do and we have faith in what they do so we're all excited to see what we can achieve together in the future"

About The Moods (Biog)

The Moods are Manchester's premier electro hip-hop reggae outfit, and their message is loud and clear. This 9-strong band unifies rap, brass and beats, delivering potent, political lyrics for a post-2016 world. The Moods will make you dance, and then they'll make you think. Born out of a musical experiment in North Manchester's Boomshack Studios in early 2014, The Moods quickly gathered members and momentum. A dizzying amalgamation of producers and poets, they swiftly honed their very own sound, which, when taken live, quite simply blew their audiences away. It wasn't long before they attracted the attention of local radio stations and journalists like John Robb and Terry Christian, too.

The Moods ended 2016 on an absolute high, with raucous, sell-out gigs in London, Glasgow and Manchester. As the world reflected on the travesty that was 2016, The Moods channelled their energy into writing and performing their vital, mighty music

The moods are currently featured on A1M records, new 9-track EP Music From The North. Which features live music from The Moods, East Manchester?s premier electro hip hop reggae outfit, A1M Records is donating copies of the Music from the North CD to Salford City Radio, who will be selling them to their listeners to raise funds towards the much-loved music station's fight for survival. Copies can be purchased from the station for a donation of just 5.00. This is a limited edition with only 300 being pressed.

The Music from the North EP is accompanied by stunning live videos recorded at the iconic Band on the Wall. This incredible footage captures the energy and passion of the musicians and the crowd that Saturday night. Music from the North leaves an indelible mark on Manchester?s indie music story and provides a vital insight into the city's most exciting new talent.
